OVERVIEW

High-performance catted exhaust downpipe for the single-turbo B58 Gen 3 (B58N) equipped BMW X-body platform. This is not for M340i and M440i B58N Gen 3 models, which use a different downpipe incorporating a new GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter). This version is equipped with Active Autowerke's own Active AFlow high-flow catalytic converter. No performance tune is needed for this downpipe.

TECH RESOURCES

• The Active AFlow ultra-high-flow catalytic converter (400 cells per square inch) features 304 stainless steel construction including the substrate, is rated for up to 950hp, withstands temperatures up to 1500°F, reaches operational efficiency within 9 seconds of startup, and is EPA registered and OBD2 compliant for 1996-and-newer vehicles — designed to run without a catalytic-efficiency check engine light.
• Not legal for use on vehicles registered in California per California Vehicle Code Section 27156 and 38391 — meets EPA, not CARB, standards.
• Covered by a 5-year/50,000-mile warranty on shell and tube ends and a 2-year/25,000-mile warranty on the catalytic core to the original purchaser only; warranty is void if the vehicle has excessive burble (greater than stock), as this physically destroys the catalytic core.
• No performance tune is needed for this downpipe.
