OVERVIEW

High-performance catted exhaust downpipe for the 2025-and-newer BMW M340i and M440i with the single-turbo B58 Gen 3 (B58N) engine. These Gen 3 M340i/M440i models integrate a GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter) into the factory downpipe assembly — this Active Autowerke downpipe replaces that restrictive GPF unit with a 5" high-flow GESI catalytic converter. No performance tune is needed for this downpipe.

TECH RESOURCES

• The 5" GESI G-Sport Ultra High Output catalytic converter (400 cells per square inch) features full 304 stainless steel construction including the substrate, is rated for up to 1,000hp, withstands temperatures up to 1500°F, reaches operational efficiency within 9 seconds of startup, and is EPA registered and OBD2 compliant for 1996-and-newer vehicles.
• Not legal for use on vehicles registered in California per California Vehicle Code Section 27156 and 38391 — meets EPA, not CARB, standards.
• Covered by a 5-year/50,000-mile warranty on shell and tube ends and a 2-year/25,000-mile warranty on the catalytic core to the original purchaser only; warranty is void if the vehicle has excessive burble (greater than stock), as this physically destroys the catalytic core.
• No performance tune is needed for this downpipe.
• Installation note (per Active Autowerke): installation requires approximately 9–10 hours of labor, including subframe removal — professional installation is strongly recommended.
