Continental Ethanol Content Sensor – BMW B58 / S58 (Flex-Fuel E85 Sensor)

OVERVIEW

The Continental Ethanol Content Sensor is a genuine Continental (VDO) flex-fuel sensor that measures the ethanol-to-gasoline ratio of the fuel in the tank and reports it to the DME/ECU in real time. It installs inline in the main fuel feed line and is the sensing element that enables flex-fuel (E85) tuning on the B58 and S58. Competition / off-road use only.

• Completes the Motiv flex-fuel / port-injection setup — works with the Motiv ReFlex+ Advanced I/O Integration (sold separately)
• Required extras (sold separately, install first): a Plug-n-Play Ethanol Sensor Harness to wire the sensor, and Ethanol 360 Fittings or the BMW Fuel Line Upgrade to plumb the sensor inline
• Reads E0–E85; pair with a compatible flex-fuel tune (MHD+, EcuTek, or bootmod3)
• Competition / off-road use only; installation by a qualified shop recommended
