OVERVIEW

This Slip-On Line system for the BMW Z4 M40i is made completely from titanium and includes a set of carbon fiber tailpipes. Built around a single muffler with an integrated exhaust valve, it sheds significant weight versus the stock rear silencer while optimizing sound across the rev range. Sharing the B58 architecture with the Toyota GR Supra, it transforms the character of the turbocharged inline-six with a deep, sporty note that stays drone-free at cruise.

TECH RESOURCES

• Required unless cutting the factory exhaust — the Akrapovič Evolution Link Pipe Set (Stainless) — E-TY/SS/1. To install the slip-on on its own, the stock exhaust system has to be cut. Adding the link pipe set avoids cutting and upgrades the system to Evolution spec
• Carbon fiber tailpipes are included — no separate exhaust tips set required
• Optional: add cockpit sound control with the Akrapovič Sound Kit
• US-market fitment note: North American Z4 M40i models are non-OPF. Akrapovič's ECE type approval applies only to OPF/GPF-equipped (European) cars, so on US vehicles this system is intended for track and closed-course use
