do88 Front Intercooler Radiator (Heat Exchanger) – BMW B58/S58 & Toyota Supra

OVERVIEW

The B58 and S58 engines both use a water-to-air charge air cooling system: coolant flows through a heat exchanger (front radiator) that absorbs heat from the charge air before it enters the engine. Under sustained hard driving — especially on track — this system heat-soaks quickly, causing the ECU to pull timing or reduce power to protect the engine. The do88 Front Intercooler Radiator is a direct-fit, larger-capacity replacement for the factory heat exchanger, designed specifically to solve this problem without any modification to the surrounding components.

SPECS

• Core volume: Up to 80% larger core volume than the factory unit, depending on platform
• Construction: Dual-row, 48mm-thick core (compared to the OE single/thinner core), full aluminum construction with durable TIG-welded end tanks
• Flow design: Quad-pass coolant flow — water passes through the core four times instead of two, maximizing contact with the cooling surface
• Fins: Slightly taller 5mm cooling fins (vs. the OE 4.4mm) to maintain good airflow to the main engine radiator behind it despite the thicker core
• Capacity: Increased coolant capacity (roughly 1.4-2.6L more, depending on platform) for better sustained heat dissipation

• On the B58 Gen 2 / Supra fitment, some trimming of the factory plastic radiator mounting frame is necessary to clear the larger core (see installation instructions).
• On the S58 G8X fitment, the unit is compatible with both automatic and manual transmission cars and includes custom rock guards.
• This is a heat exchanger (front radiator) only — it works alongside the factory or an upgraded do88 Charge Cooler Manifold/intercooler core, not in place of it.
